Düsseldorf is a vibrant city in the West of Germany, near the Dutch and Belgian borders, and the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous state of Germany. It is located in the so-called Rhine-Ruhr metrpolitan area, one of the largest metropolitan areas in Europe with cities like Cologne, Bonn (the former capital of West Germany and seat of the German government until 1999), and Duisburg (the place where the very first ICLC took place in 1989) in close proximity. Düsseldorf has a beautiful historic downtown and modern areas such as the media harbor with its world-renowned extravagant architecture.

The conference itself is going to take place on the campus of HHU Düsseldorf (Universitätsstraße 1), which is a 15-minute tram ride away from the main station.
